Spring outings are part of the daily fun chez Adams. A couple days ago, Mary Jo experienced gravity by meeting the sidewalk with her right knee. Not too bad.
Today, Zeke was on a full throttle downhill run when he, too, met the pavement. I came home to both knees covered in the largest Band-Aid available and still some errant trickles of blood.
He was rightly proud of his war wounds. Dave said the tumble took a little zing out of him and he didn't want to stay outside too much. I'm sure that feeling will scab over, too.

How's the line go? Pain fades, wounds heal, and chicks dig scars!
Kids have to get that running thing down better.
It's okay, when they get really old, they'll do it again.
Yes, it's that time of year again. Here in MN my kids are pretty much living outside now after our looooong winter indoors. Caleb has bruises and scraps all over his body from his outdoor escapades; but he's happy as a clam and really ready to zonk out at 8pm. Yeah!
I spent a majority of time from the ages of 3 till about 11 with fresh wounds or scabs on either of both knees (what do you mean it's a bad idea to dive for a baseball on asphalt?).
Wouldn't have had it any other way, either.
Here's to boys being boys, and parents smart enough to let boys be boys.
(A rarer species, nowadays?)
Scabs Yes! Flab No!
(that might be the chant for a new movement)
There's an 'or' missing somewhere in the above post, I leave it to y'all to figure out where.
