The kitchen is festooned with crepe paper streamers in varying shades of pink and purple. The walls are adorned with six princesses, their coaches, flowers, castles and the like, the cakes [yes, that's plural] are procured, the gifts are wrapped. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, the sign which we've used for every birthday for the past 10 years, is in its usual place.
All that's left to do is wait.

Tomorrow I am going to a wedding with a g/f from work for another co-worker. The reception is in Burnett. Hmmmmmmm.....not sure if this is a good omen or a bad one.
It should be fun. Something other than a dog show.
