Dave had a problem with his cell phone and needed to go to the Verizon store to get it corrected. He was going to take Zeke, but the rest of us wanted to get out a little bit, too. [Weather was a January-defying 65 degrees and sunny.] So we did a fun excursion to Wal-Mart.
When you get a cart, you are guaranteed to spend $100, no matter what your initial intent. Just know it. We had two carts, one for each girl and one cargo hold for Zeke for much of the excursion [he wanted to get out near the end. We might need to rethink that next time.] We needed toothpaste and sweat pants for the girls. Should that total $137? Probably not, but the cart rule was in effect and we wound up getting tights, socks, barrettes, books and mouthwash. Nothing on the bill exceeded $10.00. I find it amazing. There's a Wal-Mart dollar generation machine that mystifies me and keeps the Walton kids in Kleenex. Imagine if we had gone into the grocery or the toy sections.
